Yes, really—I make diaper cakes. And it all started during lockdown in 2020. Friends were welcoming bouncing bundles of joy into their lives left and right, I wanted to gift them each something that was both personalized and practical. I did a little research (and a lot of shopping) and began crafting these “cakes” out of tightly rolled nappies. Every multi-tiered creation features nearly 100 diapers as well as clothing, blankies, and other newborn essentials—each designed to match the newborn’s nursery or baby shower theme.
